I wanted to know if there's available shipment to Argentina for the PineBook Pro. I know right now there is no stock, but I'd really like to buy one as soon as there are new laptops, but I checked in the store and it says "No shipping options were found" for my adress". 

Hello, I am running Manjaro on my PBP. I want to modify /etc/acpi/handler.sh to run some scripts when AC power is plugged/unplugged.

My understanding is that this should show up as an `ac_adapter` event in the output of `acpi_listen`. However, there is no such output when I plug/unplug from power. Other events do print. I have Power Manager running and it shows a notification that I've plugged/unplugged from power, so it must be using a different mechanism. How can I hook into AC plug/unplug events?

I just bought a case meant for an old model Macbook Air 13" (A1466 A1369), and it fits the PBP like a glove. I almost bought the 14" version of the case, but decided to go for the 13/13.5" version because the PBP is slim for a 14" laptop.
For reference, the PBP is 13" x 8.6" x 0.75", and the old Macbook Air 13" is 12.8" x 8.94" x 0.68"

The new Pine Store is now up. I'll explain the decision behind shutting the old store down for 72 hours and reopening with a new store in the upcoming October community update; at this point in time I just want to give you an intro to the new store. Before I do however, I want to give @fire219 and @gamelaster massive shout-out for helping getting the store operational in such as short time. Thanks guys!

Aside from the modern design and a vastly improved inventory categorization, the new Pine Store also offers a number of new features. Some of the more notable options include credit and debit card payments (via Stripe), as well as VAT and import Tax calculators for certain items. We will also be adding new features in the coming days - notably we wish to implement DHL's Remote Area Surcharge notification and calculator.

As many of you will immediately notice, the store has moved from store.pine64.org to pine64.com. The decision to move the Pine Store's domain to .com signifies the separation between the community .org domain(s) and the business aspects of PINE64. We think that it is the right move... pun intended. The store also runs on a much beefier VPS, on a newer overall architecture and it is much more secure. This, we hope, will assure great end-user experience even at the busiest of periods.

Many other improvements have been made to the system during the downtime too - for instance, order confirmation emails, shipping notifications, etc., will no longer end up in peoples spam folders.  

Lastly, if you run into any issues with the new store, make sure to report them in this thread.

Hi all! I'd like to use the SPDIF pin on the 22-pin GPIO header to be able to do AC3 and DTS passthrough to my AV receiver over coax. I'm not trying to do optical out, and not trying to use an external DAC. The Rock64 is running Linux (libreelec) and I have an audio output device for SPDIF. Is it as simple as taking an RCA jack and just connecting the tip to the SPDIF pin and ring to a ground pin? Or is a more sophisticated circuit required for some reason? Thanks in advance!

I turn off my phone every night with the battery around 60%/70% and the next night the battery is completely empty.

I see schematics PFDs for ROCK64 board in Wiki.  Are there other HW design files available?  Looking for things like schematics in formats other than PFD (Orcad, etc)), PCB layout files, BOMs, etc.  Anything you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

What is the battery Weight? Can you buy spare back covers as they're not designed to be frequently used, and how many will you need. Do you still sell spare parts only for repairs including the batteries. I'd like to be able to remove the battery if I intend to use the thing in bed and was wondering how much lighter it would get.

My Pinebook Pro has evolved into a lazy AI. It sometimes boots, but most of the time it can't be bothered.

It all started yesterday, when after a couple months of non-use, I decided to re-install a fresh manjaro. Since I was trying different versions of the distro, I cloned a couple of times to the eMMC and finally settled on a minimal version which I cloned to the eMMC using dd.

After that, the machine failed to boot, with only the power led turning on, but in orange. I tried rebooting a few times and finally opened up the case, flipped the switch and connected the serial to USB cable to check for any error messages.

The machine turned on!

I tried a couple of reboots, all worked ok, so I disconnected the serial cable.
 
The machine stopped turning on!

Since then, the machine mostly turns when connected via serial but not every time. It also sometimes starts without a problem without the cable connected, but most of the time it doesn't!

I managed to capture some boot logs.
