I am a Linux user with my new Pinephone, want to finally move from a N900 to the Pine for everyday.
I have not had time in the weeks since my pine arrived to do much of anything.
I am assuming that postmarket will have the most developed and filled repos.
Is this like Maemo where we have testing unstable etc repos?
My meager searching has not turned up the deb lines for the /etc/apt/sources or whatever we will be using.
Sorry for noobing but have not had time to investigate and the wiki is sparse on this topic.

It was a single board computer, and a big deal around 2016 selling for about $100 USD. Two versions were made. A "desktop" one with HDMI, and a headless one acting as a server only.

The guy who started got tired of running the show, then went to work for the NSA to continue work on similar type of CPUs.
Later, as promised, SBC with 64 core CPU was released for open source, but never went into full production. Only a few of the 64 core CPUs/SBCs were manufactured to those who donated X amount to the original kick starter. I also believe design for a 1024 core processor were also released.

The CPU plans are open source.
Here is a video he did a while back on it

I bring this up because a while back, he put out asking if someone wanted to take over the project. I am not even sure if anyone did.
Here is his blog post on it

Quote:I have tried my best to ensure that the Parallella and Epiphany technology lives on, but clearly at this point the platform will need someone else to step up to the plate in my absence to push the technology forward. If you still believe in Parallella and Epiphany and want to contribute or otherwise collaborate with Adapteva send an email to “support@adapteva.com”.
So with all the great work the Pine64 folks have been doing, I think it would be great if they could continue this work.
Maybe @Luke could take a look into this.
Thanks!

Hi, got my PmOS phone today, it's working better than I expected, quite happy. but I want to switch back and forth between Phosh and Plasma. If I install postmarket-ui-plasma-mobile are there more steps to make that work? Are there extra steps to make it work as with an average distro on a laptop or pc, with a session menu at login? Or will installing that break something?
Thanks, happily posted from my PmOS CE phone

I have had my own pp for a while and tried all the distros except PMOS because i had ordered a PMOS version for my girlfriend, figuring i could test it when it arrived.
Well, it arrived!
And.... I can't get it to reboot or shut down.
I don't want to pull out the battery because of the modem firmware corruption possibility. What do i do?
As far as i can tell phosh prevents shutting down by holding power button, so shutting down through ui is only option.

Hello !
I plan to buy a Rockpro64, but before I need to know if it will be compliant with USB 15" (or more) portable touchscreen monitors. But I absolutely don't know what I should pay attention to while chosing a monitor.
Do you know something about that ? Is compatibility device-specific, OS kernel-specific ?
Do you know some touchscreen monitors working fine with RockPro64's ?
Thank you !

Hi, I'm trying to order Pine products to the US, but I get the message
"No shipping options were found for X"
I can see shipping is unavailable for most places at the moment (including the US). I know last week shipping was available through standard and express mode. Is there an estimate of when the service will be back up?
