I have interest in the Pinephone only because of the LoRa case:

This is to my knowledge the first and only phone product that can run mainline linux and have lora kind of build in thanks to this case.

When would this case be available again to order? Without this case i am also not really interested in the phone itself.

I took my broke pinephone pro in to a cellphone repair store with a community edition basic pinephone to hopefully get the sim tray replaced from the community edition to the pro.

The tech said that they were slightly different and moved some stuff around.

How true or accurate is this?

He said he was looking around to see if he could find a replacement tray.

But I thought the main boards and modems were basically pretty all the same, only difference was storage size.

I just purchased a new RockPro64 + official aluminium case + 128GB eMMC flash + rtc battery holder but the mistake I made is that I did not know in advance to order an usb serial console or an usb adapter for eMMC.

Now the big challange is to install OpenBSD into eMMC flash without these.
I connected the device to my computer(windows 10) USB port using usb A to RockPro64 USB c OTG port and after installing windows driver assistant I can successfully see it successfully detected with AndroidTool_Release_v2.38 in Maskrom mode.

I am thinking that this might help to flash OpenBSD required files and install it to eMMC card without having a physical serial console.

I downloaded already from OpenBSD official link(https://cdn.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/7.5/...s/aarch64/) the required files:
the bootloader binaries named: u-boot-aarch64 and and dtb binary packages
from u-boot-aarch64-2021.10p10.tgz:
- idbloader.img
- u-boot.itb
- u-boot-rockchip.bin
and from dtb-6.5.tgz
- rk3399-rockpro64-v2.dtb

And of course I downloaded OpenBSD img file.

Your help would be really appreciated if you can provide me some tips on how should I flash these without serial, only using AndroidTool_Release_v2.38 downloaded from https://wiki.pine64.org/wiki/ROCKPro64_S...e_Releases , Miscellaneous tools section.

Is there a way to power up into bios? ... mine works fine [well except the things we all know about] and I am rapidly getting to really like it - just wondering if there are bios settings I can see

I just got a new Pinetime and I cannot get it to connect on my Pixel 8 with GrapheneOS. I installed GadgetBridge, and it detects "InfiniTime" under Bluetooth LE, but when I try to connect, it says "Creating bond with InfiniTime", then "Attempting to pair with [some hex stuff]", then after a couple more seconds, it fails with this error:

Bonding with %1$s failed immediately.

Any idea what might be causing this and how to fix it?

So I have been daily using my standard Pinephone for about a year and three months and I have begun to have an issue.

I am running PostmarketOS and the issue began while running Postmarket (but I do not believe it is an OS issue).

I started noticing that when the battery percentage was below 50% the phone would abruptly shut off when browsing the web. If the battery is higher percentage the phone would work if just browsing the web, but might shut off if streaming a youtube video. It was so bad one day the battery showed 40% or so and as soon as I would open firefox and select restore session it would abruptly shut off. It did this over and over again until the battery was so dead it would not turn on.

• So after that day I updated from the version of Postmarket I installed in Dec23/Jan24 to the latest version, but no change.
  
• I searched for a new battery and found the OEM Pinephone batteries are out of stock, so I bought a new old stock Samsung BJ700BBU. No change (maybe a slight improvement in battery life, but the issue persists)
  

• So I tried booting Mobain from an SDcard and it still does the same thing.
  

• Also if the battery is in the lower charge state and if I use the camera with the flash with either OS it will abruptly shutoff.
  

Does anybody know where you can download a virtual keyboard for use with the pinephone. Do you need to download the phosh, keyboard or plasma keyboard or is there a package keyboard that can work for a short time?

First, I'd like to thank everyone in this community, for helping others! Great!

I ordered my PinePhone a few months ago. A few weeks later, I received the device, kept it in a drawer, and then I found the time to install the device.
I really wanted to get Kali Linux on the device, but it seems there are problems with the current image, so I decided to try Manjaro.

There have been a few bumps on the road, but it seems most things are working now.

The biggest problem for now, is the notification on the lockscreen about automatic suspension: every 5 minutes, the notification shows up. Of course, I can disable automatic suspension, but that will drain the battery. But the battery is also being drained, if the display is lit up every 5 minutes. Besides: I automatically take a look on my screen when that happens.

I also can disable notifications, but that means I will miss out anything important.

Any plans to make PineBuds Pro 2 with the BES2700YP chipset (Cortex M55)?
I recently bought two PineBuds Pro with the BES2300P chipset, I loved it so much , it's a dream come true product. However the processing power of Cortex M4F of the BES2300P is actually not powerful enough for my purpose and I am hoping that there would be a PineBuds Pro 2 with BES2700YP soon.

I also hope that a PineBuds Pro 3 with some other chipset on (Cortex M85) could be possible.
In the era of AI, we needed more powerful chips to make better applications.

I hope we can gather enough user who would love to see a PineBuds Pro 2 with BES2700YP or some other higher power chips.
