Hello all,

I recently received my plasma mobile community edition Pinephone. Everything's gone fine until today, where the Angelfish browser crashed. I've had the same long error message since this morning on a terminal screen, which is stuck on the error message '0 pages hwpoisoned', although there is a much longer traceback.The phone will interestingly enough respond to moving my mouse and touching, although I do anything but move the cursor.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Does anyone else know any fixes besides removing the battery/letting the battery run out? The phone isn't responding to the power button, and I really really don't want to brick this, although I doubt it will ruin the firmware.

This weekend, primary on Saturday, we're playing Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart.
For those of you who don't know, SRB2Kart is a game built based on Sonic Robo Blast 2 and the best way I can describe it is "as if original Mariokart and Mariokart64 had a baby" - it is a lot of fun and it is FOSS. Here's a video I posted earlier this week.

The game runs well on the RockPro64 and Pinebook Pro.
Installing it on Manjaro is easy - follow the instructions here.
After installing the game, download the config I've made and plop it into:

I've recently got the Mobian's Edition PP and am having an issue with deep sleep since day one, shortly after doing the dist-upgrade. Here are the steps and the outcome :

1) I set deep sleep "on" in settings (be it on charge or on battery)
2) I let the phone go into deep sleep
3) When I come back, pushing the power button boot the phone : the phone was actually shut down (expected behavior : resume the phone and show the lock screen)
4) I enter my encrypted fs password
5) The phone try to boot ... then shutdown
6) Pushing the power button does nothing
7) I have to remove the battery and put it back on for the phone to boot again, or plugging the phone to a power source can also do the trick
8) Then everything is back on track until next deep sleep

At first, I thought I could find the answer on the forums or social networks, that it was a known issue, but no deep sleep issue seem like this one precisely.

As a side note, I've noticed other issues that could be related :

- Chatty don't launch after a cold boot : I have to kill the process and run it again for the window to appear
- Same with the phone app : cannot make calls until I kill the process and start it again
- I actually never got the GPS working : I tinkered a bit applying Mobian's Wiki tweaks, applied the script to speed up the fix, played with mmcli and other stuffs, but never saw any GPS icon in the statusbar nor got any GPS based location in Gnome Maps or Pure Maps (only from Cellular and Wifi). Again, I thought : maybe it's the experimental nature of the phone, until I realized reading blogs and forums posts that some people actually do see a GPS icon in the statusbar (or do they ?) and get GPS location in Mobian.

I understand of the experimental nature of the Pinephone, and I actually love the potential that it bring. I'm not ranting in any way, I'm just thinking that if the issue is on my side, it will not be solved with the next update. And since I'm out of idea to find the cause of all this (mainly the deep sleep issue which is the most annoying), I'm hoping someone know better on the matter and has some idea as to where to start looking...

refined proposals for pinephone. two options or both:

option a: slightly better pinephone, only slightly

high priority:
wifi ac, particularly 5GHz
full hd display, and maybe slightly bigger like, 2304x1152
bigger battery, maybe around 5000mAh, which increases price and size.

medium priority:
more ram, 4gb ram
64gb internal memory

low priority:
better cpu

option b: pinetablet
which is comparable to pinebook pro and is physically bigger in size. still having modem in it and possibility to carry calls, although "earphones" may not be crucial. pricetag would be around 300 us$.

edit: by "earphone" i meant calling using ear speaker, related to ear screenlock. headphone calling should be available in possible pinephablet.

I need help. Ive just got the pinephone (mobian) and when I am trying to install mobian gives me the configuration error No partitions are defined for mount.

I am trying to flash th emmc but my Mx linux does not recognise the pinephone

Any solution? (Besides flashing the MIcroSd card and run through there with any os image

This can be a handy button to have on your phone to identify masked burglars or others by their WiFi devices (phone/pc). Tap MACtrack button and you have their phone mac address/brand name, along with the name of every saved WiFi Network they have printed to your screen, taking advantage of disconnected devices constant search for saved wifi networks. Then when a client/SSID looks interesting ctrl+c drops you to an SSID search prompt where you can find all street addresses/gps tied to the SSID you decided to search for.  MACtrack logs all resulting searches to a file for you.

PRIVACY SOLUTION:

• Delete previously saved networks on your devices.
  
• Login to your router as admin.
  
• Set a new SSID on your router.
  
• Save new SSID (common SSID helps it blend in for wigle searches better) and your wifi devices will no longer be vulnerable to tracking by SSID history probes (unless someone maps your new SSID using the wigle app).
  

Is there a actual list of issues where i can look ?
I have Mobian with all updates installed. My language is german and the Keyboard is right, but when i open XFCE-Terminal the Key y/z are changed.

My Phone drain also the accu without the phone is on.

While charging my pinebook pro, two things happen.

First, a sort of static noise starts playing through the headphone jack. This is especially noticeable if I attach external speakers to the headphone jack. Funnily enough, this noise gets louder if the device is powered off.

Second, the trackpad stops working properly. It often detects two fingers instead of one and the movement is jittery and inaccurate.

I am using the official charger in the barrel port. Does anyone else have these issues? And (though I doubt it sincec this seems to be a hardware problem) is there a fix?
