Cannot boot from SD cards any longer.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here but I cannot boot from the SD Card any longer. I tried multiple cards and multiple images. I can't even boot off of jumpdrive installed on SD cards to reflash eMMC. So now I'm stuck with a dud. My unlock password is not working and I can't reload a new image on the eMMC or boot to an alternate image from SD. Anyone else run in to this problem or have any ideas on how to get it working again?
More info: I can get it to boot in to the default OS and access it BEFORE the screenlock kicks on. While in this mode, when I run lsblk from terminal, I CAN indeed see the SD Storage card here so I's not like it's dead.....it's just that I can't boot off of any images any longer.

Black screen on both FydeOS as Chromium from github

Hey,
I've been trying to get Chromium OS to start from sd, but both FydeOS as Chromium R77 are giving me a black screen and a (single) chime sound on boot...
Edit: I have resolved the issue. If anyone else is running into these not booting issues, install mrfixits' u-boot (using an SD-card with any working linux, flip the eMMC/SD switch to SD, press the power button and after 2 seconds flip the switch back to eMMC and you should be booting off the SD-card while still being able to write to the eMMC)

UPDATE July 7:
The delamination has spread over the last 3 months and has gotten to the point where large chunks of the screen stopped responding to touch input and I'm no longer able to unlock my SIM card (the bottom left part of the screen where you switch between letters and numbers on the OSK isn't responding).
I'm packing and sending my phone off to PINE64 for an RMA as we speak after contacting them via their ticketing system. Here's what the support representative told me after receiving photos of the screen upon their request:
PINE64 support Wrote:As per the LCD screen issue, you are required to ship the PinePhone without battery and accessories to the below address. As our engineer would like to find the root cause of the issue. If you've encountered the issue as well, feel free to let others know in this thread but please also contact PINE64 support with photos of your screen, it'll likely be helpful if they receive more reports and faulty screens to investigate.
ORIGINAL POST:
I have had the Manjaro CE since November and have been using it as a daily driver pretty much the whole time I've had it. Unfortunately, my screen has recently been getting these deformations(?) around the edges, see photos:
They've suddenly appeared one day, starting with the bar of rectangles on the top and spread to the sides in the span of around a week, although it seems like it's stopped now. It's only visible when I shine a light on the screen, i.e. can't be seen in the dark with just the backlight shining. It doesn't look like it's damage to the screen protector or the glass, the artifacts look like they're below the glass. Is the screen permanently damaged? What could have been the cause of this? Damage by heat? Water (air moisture)? Pressure? If I replace the screen, what can I do to avoid this in the future?

control RP64 power on

Hi,
I am trying to find a way to control the power on/power off on my RP64 cluster nodes in order to switch off some unused units during the night and of course switch on some of them when the cluster reaches a load threshold. So far I am thinking of three ways (suggested by some pine64 irc users):
- use the GPIO communication to control the 4 pin header
- use a relay that controls the power supply
- use a PoE switch with a splitter
Has someone solved this topic or have any suggestions ?

Hi all,
today i tested the rockPro64. After some time, 30 minutes more or less, I checked the system status and saw the temperature was between 80º and 85º C whit htop command (armbian). The rockPro64 didn't be stressed and the use of cpu was very normal.
I read than 80ºC is a hight temperature for a rockPro64. Anyone have any experience like that? 80ºC is a normal temperature for the rockPro64? Is strongly recommended a fan or a healtsink? Is possible that htop is readding a wrong value? because this situation has no sense.

Linphone on Mobian (SIP client)

I just tested today if the standard desktop application Linphone works.
I did a Code: sudo apt install linphone-desktop
.
Then started it. Ok first issue: it needs scaling. I am not yet used to scale-to-fit but I did run Code: scale-to-fit linphone on
. This didn't help. I have tried to find the app id following some instructions but this didn't work. If someone tells me how to find the app id I am ready to update the wiki
So I just tried a general scale-to-fit with the gsettings command and that time it worked! Quite small but I could add my SIP account and I could make a call. Only issue is that I couldn't hear my partner but one could hear me. I have to check this but this looks quite promising!!

Pine64 forum vs other channels

Hi,
this is not really specific to Mobian but I have noticed that activity on Pine64 forum for the Pinephone is very low. Instead if I look at the Telegram channel, it's quite active.
It's super easy to post on Telegram for example but then everything which is discussed there is not really useful: there is a lot of "noise" because all different channels are bridged together. OK I can still make a search but it's not as useful as what I read on the forum. The only way is to follow all the messages from the day to try to dig some useful information... I have other things to do than read all these messages, where most of them are useless.
I think this is in the end not in the interest of the project. Would there any way to improve this situation?
Thanks
