Nextcloud folder (WebDAV) not showing up in Portfolio

Hi everyone,
For a while now, I haven't been seeing the Nextcloud file system showing up in Portfolio when I connect a Nextcloud Online Account.
I seem to remember that it worked when I first received my Pinephone at the end of 2020 with the original Manjaro version that it came with from the factory, but I have performed fresh installs of newer Manjaro versions several times now.
"Files" and "Documents" are activated in the Online Account options.
Connected address books and calendars are working fine, so this does not seem to be a general problem with my Nextcloud account.
I see someone recently reported a problem with WebDAV here, but I'm not sure if it's related: https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?...=nextcloud
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Thanks!

Hi All
If this is the wrong place to post this , please correct me.
First time here and finally feel confident enough to consider using it daily.
Didn't take me more than a day or two to move away from the pre-installed Manjaro.
Simply not in the mood to learn another Linux flavour. And what is it with all the weird app names ? (maybe showing my age)
I have a fair amount of experience using Debian on Industrial machines for 10+ years,
so decided on Mobian bullseye initially and then re-imaged to bookworm in the last day or so.
1: To use a phone here in Australia on a daily basis, there are some requirements that may not exist elsewhere.
Where ever we go (during this covid crisis) we have to scan in using QR code.
Each state has it's own app, but of course only on iPhone or android.
Finally managed to get the .apk file for our local app and installed ANBOX, only to find out that the camera doesn't work (yet) on ANBOX.
Would love to hear if anyone has QR code scanning resolved.
2: After spending a day or so trying to get iphone contacts exported to the PP, I gave up and started typing them in.
I'm retired, so it was time to cull a few anyway.
3: The Hub that came with the PP works well on the usb (Mouse , memory sticks etc) but is flaky on the HDMI.
In Bookworm it is better then bullseye, but on some apps it will switch back to the PP.
Getting it to work at startup is the main problem. I have tried booting the PP with hdmi plugged in, also just hot plugging it.
In the end I hot plug it and wait, wait, wait and wait some more. Finally the monitor goes to back ground colour.
That is the sign to open an app and watch it disappear to the left of the monitor. Close the app and open it again, now it is in the middle of the monitor and is usable.
The best way I found to use it, was to select single monitor use only.
4: Wifi occasionally wont come on, so have to go to settings/wifi and just click the network and all is good again.
5: Some apps are not set to the screen size of the phone and you find that the "Next" or "Accept" button is not visible, because it is off the screen
and you can't slide the screen sideways to reveal the missing buttons.
6: The Portfolio app (I know it Mobian not PP problem) is only good enough to see what you got, you cant cut/paste/copy or delete.
Will have to find an app to replace that.
7: Deleting apps or icons from the screen must require you to hold your tongue just right, because I can't find where or how.
Conclusion:
I will use it as my daily phone IF I can get QR code to work.
Regards

Changing Desktop Environments?

Hey all,
I am a bit new to Linux, (been usin it for about a year and a half). I just got my Pinephone, and I'm really happy with it! I like Mobian a lot, and don't want to switch from it, however I really do not like how the homescreen on Phosh looks. I always prefer to have a very clean homescreen with no icons. From my understandin, there's no way to do that with Phosh, unless I learn how to program my own app drawer... I'm currently learnin Python but it will be a long while before I will have the skill to do that. I really liked how the homescreen looked on Plasma Mobile. From what I'm seein on Mobian's Wiki page, it looks like switchin desktop environments to Plasma is currently broken.
Recently I saw this, https://www.itsfoss.net/cutie-shell-new-...-and-more/ and was wonderin if there's a way to do Mobian +Cutie. It looks cool, and while I don't have a whole lot of programmin know how I don't mind usin the terminal and learnin things.
I was also wonderin (this might be a dumb question... sorry) if you switch desktop environments, do you also have to switch apps? For example I really like Chatty and have it currently all set up. Would I have to change over to a different chat app that ships with cutie? Or is that not somethin that gets changed when you switch desktop environments.
Really appreciate any replies!

Just curious, I loaded kde connect on my phone and on my Pinebook Pro running latest Manjaro. I installed KDE Connect on both phone and PPRO and brought them up: and neither one could SEE the other.
Both on the same WiFi, neither can SEE the other. Is this expected behavior?
If this SHOULD work, any suggestions for what to check?
UPDATE: One day later. Discovered it needs the port range open for both TCP and UDP. Fix that in your firewall and everything connects.
Sorry for the wasted bandwidth. I will leave this here for anyone else who encounters the problem to find. "Check your firewall."
[Now I feel silly!]

phone keyboard as generic usb keyboard?

is the phone keyboard a full windows keyboard?
If so the keyboard has an usb header, if costs would be within reason,
the phone keyboard could be redesigned into a multi purpose keyboard.
It should then be able to act as a keyboard for none pinephones and pinephones, an usb port for
attaching blue tooth to the keyboard,
if the internal battery could enable such usage and an usb port for wired connection
to the
keyboard. Regarding
android phones a holder should be made. I do not know how many of such
keyboards are on the market? Could such a keyboard provide revenue.

What's the difference between the Discover app, which tells me I am to date, and pacman -Syu which goes and does a set of updates?

Can't get autofocus working

Hi,
I'm running into difficulty getting main camera autofocus running. I've taken the following steps:
- Replaced my Braveheart motherboard with a new 3GiB motherboard.
- Replaced my camera module with a new one.
- Installed the latest Mobian weekly (2022-01-02).
- Upgraded all the things ( sudo apt-get upgrade -y ).
- Started Megapixels, and tapped the screen to trigger autofocus.
At this point the focus jumps around a bit (looks like autofocus starting to work as it does on other devices), but it never manages to properly focus on anything more than a few centimeters from the lens. During this, the following is logged in dmesg:
Code: [ 7895.103889] ov5640 3-004c: uploaded firmware didn't start, got to 0x7f, retrying...
[ 7895.423877] ov5640 3-004c: uploaded firmware didn't start, got to 0x7f
[ 7895.430507] ov5640 3-004c: ov5640_set_ctrl_focus: no autofocus firmware loaded
[ 7899.123759] ov5640 3-004c: firmware upload success
[ 7899.129210] ov5640 3-004c: fw started after 0 ms
The camera works just fine when I "focus" it by physically moving it close to an object:
![[Image: IMG20220108060633.jpg]](https://i.postimg.cc/LhycH4D5/IMG20220108060633.jpg)
... but if I try to take a photo of anything more than a few centimeters away, it completely fails to focus:
![[Image: IMG20220108060559.jpg]](https://i.postimg.cc/KRRd4XpN/IMG20220108060559.jpg)
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is the final hurdle for me to adopt a PinePhone as my daily driver
