I decided to intall a 6 SATA Drive card and pack 6 2.5'' hdds in the NAS case the problem is that the Sata power dapter can only supply enought power for 2 drives.

I am looking for recomendations to supply power to the four remaining drives.

Until know I have been uing a USB to Sata converted connected to a fast phone charger. It works but from time to time a drive disappears, no doubt I am exceding the USB current settings. Hence I am looking for something that can supply more current to get my Hdds up and running.

I did used a 12V/5V 2A USB to IDE/SATA Power Supply Adapter For Hard Drive HDD CD-ROM Tool; of course if end up exploting after a few minute. RockPro survided

BEYIMEI PCIE 4x SATA card 6 ports, 6 Gbit / s SATA 3.0, boot as System Diskette, Support 6 SATA 3.0 Devices, with 6 SATA cables and a 15pin SATA to 4SATA Power Distribution Cable(ASM1166)

Hi everyone; long time lurker but it's my first post here. I got a pinephone pro and none of the distributions I tried were able to make a phone call. I tried (in their posh/plasma versions); Manjaro, Mobian, Arch and Postmarketos. While PostmarketOS make it clear phonecalls are broken, I saw here and there people saying the phonecalls were working in the others I tested (while not explaining how...).

Phonecalls do work as expected on my original pinephone with the same sim card.

Did I miss something ? A new setting or package to update ? Updating a firmware like the modem? The more I search and test the more others workings feature are breaking

any help or explaination would be awesome. even if it's to tell me it never worked; then I could stop searching and just wait for a release claming it fixed it ^^'.

I am seeing the blue (boot) light at the upper left of the screen continually blinking.  It does not go out.  Does this convey a message?  If so what?

Blinking at roughly 2x per second, estimate.

Is it possible to extract battery from the PinePhone Pro I've ordered (I will deliver it to you from TipTrans Warehouse)?
Because TipTrans/QuantiumSolutions offer cheap delivery but batteries are prohibited.

If it's not possible to extract battery from an already ordered phone, will it be possible to buy PinePhones without batteries right from the store?
Why isn't it possible?

I am finding that if the PPP is off the charger (as in your pocket when you go out) it turns off after about 45 minutes and does not answer calls.  If you activate it with the start button, it still wakes up (not a reboot/restart from cold) and does answer calls.  To me this makes the PPP dysfunctional as to be a usable cell phone if you can't reliably get a call after 45 minutes off the tether.

I am running tests calling PPP with android phone.  It looks like about 45 minutes from a full charge before it goes dead and stops answering after being off charger.  Still at 70% or so battery.  I will continue to test. Manjaro-phosh system.

Are others seeing the same thing or is this just my phone?   How long can you have the PPP off charger and still receive a call?  What if you go out with 70% battery, 50% battery?

I have just noticed a missing feature on the pine phone: a hotspot. My pine phone has UB Ports on it and so does my BQ 4.5 original Ubuntu phone. My original phone does have a hotspot in the software but the pine phone doesn't. Can anybody tell me why?

I've a little problem with the values returned by _some_ keys from the top row, only when used with the 'Fn' key.

For example Fn-1 does not return the pipe character '|' but '\';  '~' returns 'back tick' and '+' returns '='.

A firmware problem or  kernel's driver one ?

I am making progress with the reliability of the pp, and as of about a week ago I am able to leave Wifi On and even waydroid running.

Without waydroid running the battery lasts all day.
Once I start waydroid, the phone gets woken up at intervals and of course uses battery power whilst lighting up the screen.

I have asked this question on other forums, but did not get a response.

Is there a solution to the phone waking up repeatedly ?
I know it is waydroid, as stopping the container eliminates the problem.

Strangely after all I have gone through to get Qr code registration running through Waydroid, Australia is now dropping the requirement to log in.

PPKB seems like it may not withstand as many impacts as a phone may be subject to. Anyone find some sort of rubberized skin that might provide some additional protection? A case for a case, I know, but it seems like the keyboard case could use some extra protection.
