I'm currently running OMV with Docker installed. I have plex media server using the docker image lsioarmhf/plex , but I'm having a bit of trouble with buffering. It doesn't seem to pickup the stream cleaning after it stops transcoding/streaming.
What images are others using, is there a better one? If you're using lsioarmhf's would you mind sharing your configuration?

Hello everyone!
Some time ago there was a thread on how to get an Android version with status bar and nav bar.
However the thread was deleted probably by the user.
He posted some directions on how to flash the file and provided the link.
Here is it
https://mega.nz/#!lBABFYrQ!l1gZA3eTGx_Wx...C35LEIx52g
Unfortunately as the thread was deleted I don't remember the steps needed to flash the rom
I tried the following
1.Booted the ROCK64 board into MASKROM (using jumper as required) (tried booting while pressing recovery button as well. no jumper used in that case)
2. Removed the jumper.
3. As there are multiple files in the folder I selected the MiniLoaderAll.bin and pressed Upgrade.
I always get the following
As I have an Odroid XU4 as well I use a EMMC module from Hardkernel.
I read in some posts that the Hardkernel EMMC is compatible.
Has anyone tried flashing this version of Android?
Am I doing something wrong?

Hi
First of all, i'm new to... well the SBCs, the RockPro64 and these forums. I'll try not to be too much of a pain
Not a pro so keeping things simple, I've decided to run android (the 7.1.2 which can be found on the Rockpro64 help page). Yet, it does not include the google apps which is sad because they appear to be crucial to me since my board will be working along others devices via apps that require google apps.
I've been tinkering for a while now, trying to install the google play store, but it's past time I give up so here I am. I'm guessing trying to install that from an apk may be quite optimistic.
The situation :
A Rockpro64 that boots just fine from a SD containing the Pine64 recommended android 7.1.2.
Network ok, dispaly ok, sound ok, keyboard/pointing ok. Seems to run fast and smooth. (Except from the parameter's app which crashes from time too time when I switch for too long between apps. But it's rare and not a part of normal use so no big deal.)
I have tried to install the google play store from apk (several ones from APK Mirror). Of course none could open. To be honest, i don't even really know for sure which version to get so I've had to try several. (Might be useful to indicate somewhere the architecture of the device under the form of this kind : armeabi, armeabi-v7a, arm64-v8a, ect... Also would be useful to know if all DPI apps can run on the device.)
The Pushbullet app states on launch that it will not work without google apps, specifying that they're not compatible with my device.
Nothing I've tried worked so after a while I've come to the conclusion it would probably be way easier to just install Pushbullet on a Linux so I've installed the Pine64 recommended Ubuntu (the big one), but it never booted. Or if it did (because the white LED was lit) then the screen (HDMI) was just black. No idea why.
So, basically, I'd like some help to either install google apps on the 7.1.2 or get Ubuntu to boot from my SD.
I understand all this must probably sound very noobish, I apologize for that and thanks in advance for any help

Hi All,
New to this single board computer scene and to the Linux scene as well. I like the OS, after using windows for so long makes things a little difficult. So my question is I have tested all the OS images for the Rockpro64, only one goes to desktop(thats the LXDE image). is there a way to get the rest of the images to a desktop? they only show terminal for me, is that how it is supposed to be? I would like to get a debian or ubuntu(normal version I guess) how do I get the minimal images to that? just asking for help. thanks in advance.

Good day,
I purchased two of the Rockpro64 Boards and NAS case.
So far I really like the unit.
I plan on donating second board to freebsd project. waiting on them to tell me where to send it.
I am starting to try a few PCI boards boards in the rockpro64.
I was able to get High point RAId card that comes with san digital to work after upgrade of the kernel.
Please post any PCI devices that work here and anything you need to do to get it recognized.

| RockPRO64 Playbox vs PINE64 Playbox |

just wondering what the differences between these 2 products are, as the RockPRO64 playbox just went up on the store but I had already put an order in for the other one. It looked like the PINE64 playbox is compatible to me. That is why I ordered it.
are there plans to produce a battery that hooks internally into the power port for the RockPro64?
and to further ask, what other accessories are you planning for this device so we can just get all this amazement out of the way at how awesome this product is? what do you have planned?

Hello all,
I need a small server to run on my living room (no space elsewhere), to be quiet and to use it for storage/nas, plex server, kodi, and some gaming if applicable (mame, snes psx etc) while will be connected to my 40" TV.
When I looked on RockPro64 4GB with the NAS case I thought that this is ideal for the job that I want.
So I intent to buy RockPro64 4GB, NAS Case, emmc 64GB, WiFi/Bluetooth Module, heatsinks/fan, PSU EU 5A and connect 2 HDD on it.
But before I buy it I have some questions, and I will appreciate any help:
1) Is v2.1 board available and without any H/W problems as the versions before (resistor removal etc)
2) Does PCIe SATA card works?
3) Which linux distro do you suggest in order to have desktop experience?
4) Based on (3) does it supports HW acceleration for Kodi?
5) Based on (3) can run Plex server (not just stream but transcode)?
6) Based on (3) I would want to install MAME, snes etc emulators. Would a bluetooth gamepad work?
7) Based on (3) will a bluetooth Air mouse work?
The board will work as a server and NAS mostly but I want to be easy to control it with mouse and play some retro games from time to time.
EDIT: Looking the new ABS case with the graphene heatsink, I was thinking If I could power up a 2.5" HDD 1TB that I have with an external enclosure from the USB3.0 port.
It would take less space in the shelve under my TV.

Anyone know if it is possible to run a SolusVM Slave Only server on a Pine A64? Side question, would it be better to run SolusVM Slave Only on a Rock64 instead?

Does anyone have the LWH dimensions of the clusterboard in millimeters handy? The height to the top of the inserted SOPINE module would be great too. Thx

| man breaks after upgrade to 18.04 |

In a possibly silly move, last night, I upgraded Ubuntu MATE on my Pine A64+ from 16.04 to 18.04.
I'm still running the longsleep kernel 3.10.105. I was a little surprised that the upgrade worked, but it did. Everything was/is looking good, except that man is broken. When I run "man --debug man", I see:
Code: man: can't execute preconv: Operation not permitted
loading seccomp filter (permissive: 1)
loading seccomp filter (permissive: 1)
loading seccomp filter (permissive: 0)
seccomp already enabled
man: can't execute col: Operation not permitted
man: can't execute tbl: Operation not permitted
trying encoding UTF-8 -> UTF-8//IGNORE
groff: couldn't exec troff: Operation not permitted
I can, of course, run all of those interactively without any problem.
Has anybody else tried upgrading to 18.04 and/or have any idea what the problem here might be?
Thanks!
