I read somewhere on this forum (or wiki), how to do it, cause in settings it's problematic, but I can't find the article now.  Also I found out, that my pinebook (with KDEneon) can't use video acceleration after wake up from suspend.

There is a lot of update recently. open the terminal and execute below two commands. Hopefully the will be resolved after update.

sudo pkcon refresh
sudo pkcon update

So far, what I've found is that if I use the commands above to update or install packages on my machine instead of using the Discovery application, my machine doesn't freeze up. It's been 12 hours and counting without issue so far.

Was wondering if you are still not experiencing freezes anymore? I've been updating like that for a while but I am guessing I started after one of the updates and perhaps some package is now no longer compatible?

I did the "pkcon" commands as suggested, Since then I have been using the computer in a limited way -- just opening and closing a couple of applications, not doing a lot of resizing and manipulating graphic elements in the GUI (which seemed to lead to freezes before). No freezes. Last night I ran a node.js script that caused the computer to freeze twice in the past -- it ran without a problem. Maybe my problem is solved ... but I'm still testing.

I created a new user and started using KDE Neon on that new account and that does not seem to be freezing it up anymore...
