Pine Store usually produces in batches so there will be more chances to buy one, I would assume. Though future batches will probably also sell out very quickly. Would recommend you both (and any reader) to join the community chat and to follow it there.

These sort of high stress, sell out quick launches always suck because you have to drop everything just to get your hands on a product... Plus because of shipping costs it delays purchasing the rest of my order as a single batch.

Which channel or means of 'community chat' is best for tracking stock so that it's not a case of having to pull over while driving home in order to not miss the availability window?

The best place to watch is probably the STAR64 channel in the community chats. However if you're not a developer please don't purchase one, it'd be nice if the stock went to people who can write software for it.

I would also be interested in an IRC channel. I wonder if they're just bridging over from Matrix? Maybe it would be easy to add another bridge for #star64?

Anyway, my Star64 is on its way from China. I'm hoping we get some info on a Linux image to use as a starting point.

Thanks for the update, I guess I'll try my luck on Tuesday, sounds like a more fun and challenging device to develop for... assuming it exists Smile
