The home page of pine64.org prominently invites you to pre-order the Pinebook Pro...but there is no way to actually accomplish this..
What gives???

I understand they are out of stock...hence the idea of pre-order. (which, again, is what is presented/offered from the pine64.com homepage.)

@
iMav The pre-order system is not perfect.
Basically whence Pine64 is able to source parts and have them assembled, they open pre-orders for a limited number, for example 1,000. Then, when the number is reached, (and they will increase the max order number if it makes sense to do so), pre-orders are stopped. Now manufacturing is started, and shipment after. Whence all the existing orders are handled, another batch of pre-orders is opened.
Because of the challenges of the last year, Pinebook Pros have been un-able to be built. The un-availability of the LCD panels, (in the correct physical size, and 1080p format), has delayed new Pinebook Pro pre-orders.

What a bottleneck! It is despairing to check back day after day, week after week, to see the same old "out of stock" message for pinebook pro, pinephones, and pinetabs. Is there a mailing list that notifies subscribers when any become available for pre-order? I want to subscribe to it if there is.
