PINE PHONE CAME LOCKED

Hello Gentleman,
I bought this phone as a general call/text basic smart phone, a none-contact-tracing phone.
So, not a Techie, and am starting to learn.
However, 
I booted up the phone and the screen came pre locked with a passcode I do not know.  I can't get past the lock screen.  I'm assuming that this is not normal? Can somebody direct me to what I need to do, or who I need to speak too.

Yup, my phone came today and is locked on startup.

There's a little piece of paper with a lot of text on it.
The code is put on that piece of paper.

In the case of Manjaro, the default password is 123456.
For KDE Neon (the upcoming community edition), that's 1234 (same with Mobian, and I believe UB Ports too).

Ubuntu touch prompts you to enter one on first boot

Probably you're correct.
It's been a while when I last installed Ubuntu Touch on my Nexus 5.
