Depends on country and provider. Phone calls are working here ....

BUT: UB-Touch has an awful bug .... You cannot establish a call if You call an address from the address book AND the number begins with FE +49

You have to change the +49 to an 0049

Shitty bug because all my addresses are configured with ibnternational prefixes with a leading + :-(

I live in Switzerland. Do you think Ubuntu Touch phone is working there? And you mention phone calls are working in your country, but not very comfortable, right? Which Pinephone distro is best to use the Pinephone to make phone calls?

Ubuntu touch, if I got it right. Phone calls work, but bad sound quality and need to reboot Sad .

Bad sound quality, and needs to reboot, but I think I could live with that. I don t need all the Iphone features. The only condition is that it works to make phone calls, and a phone book. I think I can also live with editing the zeros of the main numbers I need.

So the Ubuntu touch phone is a phone I could live with it, since my main application is writing, and not make calls. And Libre office seems to work on it, which is great.

The factory installation of Post Market on the newest Community Edition Pine phone is very slim on features,

BUT almost everything "Just Works"  -   "Out of the Box"

The only thing I do not like is the rotten version of Firefox.  so I downloaded Gnome web, that works 'ok'

It does decent phone calls, both in and out.    Text works both in and out.

Data works,  even the hot spot works, very important feature for me, I prefer to use a laptop or tablet over the little phone screen...

A reason not to buy UBports at this time is for me personally:

Sound: Earphones not working and eventually Sound: Microphone not working.

Postmarket OS seems more an OS which one can live with it.

How can one make phone calls with Uubuntu Touch when sound and mic is not working?
