Ubuntu Touch with OTA updates
#1
Hello everyone,

Here are the UT images you should use from now on, as these images include OTA updates (obviously, get the latest one).
OTA updates can be found under settings -> updates
You download the update and press "install & reboot", the update process including reboots is completely automatic - you don't need to do anything.

You no longer have to reflash your UT image, just use the OTA updates from now on.

[edit] Stable OTA pushed on 18 June, 2020 includes crust and support for incoming / outgoing phone calls as well as much refinement, fixes and extras.

You can find me on IRC, Discord and Twitter

Is there anything specifically new in these builds other than OTA?

build #7  no success getting cellular working (consumer cellular (att) doesnt seem to keep the APN`s --- i made sure they were saved, rebooted, and lose them and or the check marks dont stay ( not my daily driver just testing )

the rest is very slick and smooth      ( there are 2 ways to update from settings, and about ,i guess one will be removed )

I had to switch the update channel to "pine" for the phone to find the update.

But now, my phone does not work anymore Sad
When powering ON, I get the notification LED red then green. Then I can see the Pine64 logo. Then... a black screen.
Maybe that was not the right update channel ?

Similar issue on Verizon. APN seems saved but won't check so no calls or texts. Also, "Internet/MMS" APN never works, have had to save "internet" and "mms" as separate APNs.
