I tested the new build leaving the phone idle overnight with WiFi and modem on. It lasted all night. The only thing is not working are the calls

Just installed XFCe.  I like it more and now it's look more like Linux Phone

Which packages did you install?
How did you boot in to xfce?

 Than you get the login screen and before add the PW change to desktop via wheel left of OK Button
But be carefull. The device getting hot, very hot and don't use 'Weston'. you can't change back.

For anyone following along that hasn't seen it yet watch this Librem video and it works really well . Keyboard is working now, sync works perfectly, browsing is fluid. One step closer to DebPhosh daily driving!

But just so you know, starting from the next release, there will be no display manager, you'll have to install gdm3 as well (or lightdm, should work too)

It appears a voltage patch needs to be applied to prevent the lcd being fried. Hopefully, the next image version will have this baked in?

Yep, I've just uploaded a new kernel including this fix, you're an "apt upgrade" away from it

is there a difference between 'sudo apt update' and using a the latest (new) image ? Because with new image a lost all my working apps.

There are a couple differences, but nothing really huge... You'll probably have to manually uninstall gdm3, but that's pretty much all
I should do a bunch of metapackages to make things better when I have some spare time.
