What is the operating system of the computer you are using to burn the image? Which image are you trying to burn? Are you using an USB SD card reader adapter or the in-built SD card reader?

I couldn't get any of my SD cards to be burned successfully on Windows 10. I used an old laptop with Windows 8, it worked the first time.

Your best bet is to find something without Windows 10 if it isn't too difficult- until there is a surefire method to making it work, i would stick with Windows 8/7 for burning.

Also, some people reported having troubles using the built-in SD card reader, whereas an external USB-based SD card reader worked.

That PhoenixCard software seems overly finicky and appears to run on voodoo.

There are links user posted images floating around here on the forum, so that you can use 'dd' via Linux-based command line, or Win32DiskImager on Windows instead. I'll see if I can find some of them...

Edit: yep, here is ML Anderal's RemixOS image.
And janjwerner's RemixOS image.

Hmm, can't currently find a straight Android dd image, though I thought there was one....

win32diskimager worked great with my samsung evo+ 64 gig card but with my Sandisk ultra 32 I had to use the phoenixcard burner ( format with the phoenixcard burner). win32diskimager said I didn't have enough sectors. I was installing android.
