The default OS / kernel had a wifi issue?

***  .My first wifi "DROP"  !!!
I have been on for about an hour -  but FireFox crashed for the first time also.. ?
Maybe one caused the other  or one thing caused both problems at the same time  ?
But the wifi reconnected automatically and I just restarted FireFox.

I have not read much about the wifi issues. Perhaps that was discussed before?

I see wifi dying under high cpu load (which probably boils down to overheating).

Perhaps your laptop is always overheating for a reason TBD? What do your temp sensors read?

In idle it should be around 45C (at least on my machine)

When I stress the CPU with a parallel build, the temperature goes up to close to 70C and some time later, wifi shuts down.

I've been thinking about this, (though not experienced the issue my self).

How about checking the antenna connection?

 - Perhaps it's slightly loose, and heat causes it to get further loose. When the board cools down, the connector works better.
 - Or maybe a cold solder joint, (which works sort of). When things heat up it could get better worse depending on it's exact location.

Issue was determined to be the wifi power management. The update that was just pushed, v1.5, will disable wifi power management after a reboot, which should resolve this issue

Commenting out  `iwconfig wlan0 power off` in `/etc/rc.local` solves the problem of wifi disconnects under load.

Running the default Debian,  executed `mrfixit_update.sh` a few hours before.
