DIY Alexa on PINE64

Hi guys,

I still haven't received my board, but I saw that Amazon has released a step-by-step guide to building an Alexa-powered speaker yourself with a Raspberry Pi.

Would anyone know if and how we could do it on Pine64?

i'm guessing that is posible due we already have a working linux distribution( BETA so far )

but still working on it.
by the way i like the idea too ill try when my pine arrives

I have got a PCM5102A  a 32 bit I2S stereo D/A converter board I hope to get working together with my Pine when it hopefully will arrive within a month. (I'm a April Backer which have added a DIY add-on board and thereby is placed last in the waiting line)

The purpose is to get a "HiFi" audio output.

If you read this: https://github.com/Kitt-AI/snowboy/issues/88 then it doesn't look like it will work on pine64. I tried building it, but failed on libsnowboy-detect.a as well... But I've no clue what I am doing, so...

there are a lot of some cool open source "assistants" the first thing that came to mind was a assistant built into a Semicode OS, They call her sarah, https://github.com/semicode-ltd/sarah i think this might be a good option, i can look into creating a distro with some basics and her installed, would this be a good alternative for now, until they have boarder support for alexa like projects

If you read this: https://github.com/Kitt-AI/snowboy/issues/88 then it doesn't look like it will work on pine64. I tried building it, but failed on libsnowboy-detect.a as well... But I've no clue what I am doing, so... 

I have communicated with Kitt-AI and already shipped PINE A64 board to Snowboy, hopefully the issue will be resolved soon. Stays tune.

On https://github.com/Kitt-AI/snowboy/issues/88 there has been some developments, a static lib for pine64 has been compiled.

I am not the most experienced with compiling this, perhaps someone else can give it a try as well?
