thanks for the info.
will this require a reinstall (i wouldn't like that) or is a normal apt-based upgrade sufficient, or are some additional steps necessary?

anybody please?
if i'm missing something obvious, just point me to the right resources.

Sorry, documentation is in the works - expected to be done in 2 weeks. Pinebook specifics changes are hard to define since this is in fact first nonbeta/official release. Latest beta version and this = no change. Pretty much everything works and can be used for daily work, (only urgent and not daily as on nightly builds) bugfixes can be applied remotely via apt update and upgrade, ... We are working further on kernel 4.13 but that is not ready for anything. Little more info can be scrapped here: https://forum.armbian.com/index.php?/top...ew/&page=5 If something does not work properly, we will try to fix.

Trying this version on another sdcard, and again quite happy using this 5.34 version with 3.10.107-pine64.

I would rather though update my 5.32 on the emmc to 5.34 with that kernel version is that possible as well?

In any case, thank you for Armbian on the pinebook, I am a happy user! Smile

thanks. i'm not sure i understand - are you saying all your work of the last months, leading to the stable release (i installed armbian in september) can be updated via package management?
no need to reinstall or run some shell script or something, i'm not missing any important improvements?
and the things discussed in the thread are solely for developers / beta testers?

yes, i'd love some documentation on this if possible!

Yes. We use Debian standard packaging system and you get updates via apt update & upgrade. We pack u-boot, kernel and board support package. Most of the things are there so it's usually no need to go from the new image. Some minor cosmetic fixes like the desktop theme, login screen or similar are not yet packed ...

Its a question of taste. As for drm isn't enabled by default on either image. Read ayufan's git for instructions.
