However OTA didn't work for me. Maybe me previous version of Android was too old?

Or it was a rooted image? My understanding is, based on other posts I've read, a rooted image won't OTA update.

Yes. This information is also there on the main Pine64 wiki page when you download an image:

"online update (OTA) only work when the build still not root."

Source.

I missed that item.  I only saw $15 OFF Pi3.

Yes, that's where it was.

So I might be missing something real simple here, but what is the upgrade process for a rooted image without having to start over with a clean image every time?

I have the same error with my 32gb card and the 32gb image. But in my case, the Phoenix card says thas "no script file" and I can't do anything.

Do you mean a script not found error? That is due to trying to burn a dd-type image using PhoenixCard, which will not work.

Please see this thread.

That I do not know, unfortunately. I assume that you do need to start over each time.

Thanks, Ghost. My image is it, the one from the main page, 32Gb, like my class 10 card.
Online update (OTA) only work when the build still not root? Clean image? I still not understand. If Phoenix Card can't burn the image (because is not for it) and other softwares, like Rufus and Win32Imager says "no space in your card", what can I do. Which one I need do choose?

Hi at all,

I have partially solved by installing the DD 16 gb version in Sd card 32 gb (SanDisk class 10) and works well. Phoenix is wrong to my pc. Initially it would not connect to the internet via Ethernet but it was (good) with Wifi. After several flares now it's OK to the Ethernet port and am using Netflix even with a Powerline TPLINK. Do you think I can recover unused space of Sd with a partitioning program?

I didn't succeed in using gparted everytime I got an error that some partitions were overlapping. However the Android image is working perfectly.

The only way I have found to create a working sd card was to burn a 32GB image to a 64GB card....
