Well just based on all the trouble everyone seems to be having with Manjaro, and how stable the original Debian works, I'd be inclined to recommend that (the "Debian Desktop" from the wiki).
But really, don't listen to me or anyone else. Research all the GNU/Linux distrus, and don't forget the BSDs. See which one fits you. The reason we actually have so much fragmentation in the modern "Unix" world, is that everyone has such strong affinity to the peculiarities of each one.
This is your computer. First and foremost, make it do what you want it to do, not what anyone else says it should do.
