I've tried every combo known to mankind!
Only two ever display 720p, if I tried to set it to "768p " or "768p60" the "paskaläjä" goes to 1080p... that is when it boots - which is like about 25% of the time (and was 0% of the time earlier today!)
I'm happy with 720p - it's not just a matter of it not displaying - it just doesn't boot - never appears on the network...
I hooked up a UART and I get a whole heap of errors about uboot...
I cracked open the C4 case, disconnected the battery (and move the BAT jumper) - and now it boots "some of the time"...
I've got two of them (Pine 64+ 2 GB) - the other one which was running Armbian boots fine... which would kinda suggest the hardware on this board is a bit dodgy - and I'm not surpised at all - given that BOTH boards arrived with an ugly bow or bend in the middle (this has been reported by many recipients of Pine64).
Anyway - I have renamed it to "pezzo-di-merda" - because that is what it is... I'd really like my money back - I'd pay another $50 for just ONE 2G multi-core ARM board (but most definitely NOT from the people who brought us Pine!) - and I don't really give a rat's about 32 bit or 64 bit...

This has really been quite a disheartening experience with these boards - especially after the rock solid support and stability of the Banana PI and the NTC CHIP... FFS - I'd be happy with something like the BPi with another couple of cores and a further GB of RAM...
Oh well.... Kickstarter's always a risk - took a punt and lost on really REALLY shoddy hardware and support...
