Battery life: Maybe really a hardware issue?

I am glad I am not the only one seeing this activity. I guess one way to find out is to turn off all the switches to see what happens. If the battery is still good the next morning, then one of them is the culprit. Could then each night turn each one on to check if the battery is drained.

Who then would we bring up the flaw too?
