I have not put openwrt on the RockPro64 yet, although it sounds like a bit of an overkill. What I have done is install it on a raspberry Pi 4...You may of course just say that the Pi is just as powerful and also an overkill!!
I am doing the install headless. Openwrt defaults to 192.168.1.1 as a static address and you should be able to ssh into it as root. Can you do that?? I started with the Pi behind my ISP's router and had to change a few settings to be able to see the internet and do the required updates and installs.
So, first question. Can you ssh into your RockPro64?
