Perhaps something as simple as a thicker thermal pad 'may help' on many of them ?
a little thick would likely be better than a little thin.... (?)
ALSO : I wonder if some thermal pads may have been lost when someone opens their laptop for other purposes
and then they do not notice it is missing when they put it back together... ?
The first time I opened my PBP the thermal pad was stuck to the cpu,
BUT, the second time I opened it, it was stuck to the metal bottom plate.
The thermal pad already designs as "a little tick"
