Since the topic came up, you can easily switch to a more comfortable keyboard format to return @ and # to their expected locations.
Control Center > Keyboard > Layouts
By default mine was set to English (UK), so I changed it to English (US) which will give you this:

Obviously you'd need to either change out the keycaps or just ignore them, but it's better than relearning the damn layout compared to what you're used to.
