I am using an emmc module, I tried the "jumper pull" method (pull emmc jumper 2-3 seconds after applying power) many times to boot the sdcard, but have never succeed. I can boot the sdcard (armbian) only when the emmc module removed from the socket. I don't know how to make my rock64 working with the emmc module again.
Try pulling the jumper a little sooner, nearer to 1-2 seconds, and then try a bit longer 3-4 seconds... I suspect it will be the former that will fix it not the latter... uboot could be nearly finished booting from the microSD before the eMMC is enabled. Otherwise, if you write the 0.6.44 image from ayufan to to your microSD, and boot from it with the jumper left connected, I'm wondering if that is the purpose of the new rock64_reset_emmc.sh script, so that you can reset it and then access it?
If that doesn't work, your best/simplest option may be to get a usb-to-eMMC adapter... then you can always just unplug the eMMC and write to it on another computer...
