I have 3 (well 2 are mine and the 3rd I guess I'm responsible for fixing when it Linuxes); and the older two, one mine, have terrible power management. They never get to 100%, never have. They don't actually charge with the display on, the discharge just slows down (a lot). The third, (newest,) has never had these problems: it charges quickly even if the CPUs are overclocked, and will reasonably reach 100%. I'll find out soon if this was battery related: I have to replace all three; they have expanded to the point of breaking the hinges! But I suspect not because that one is the ’new’ main board design (at least was when it was new).
So anyway I wonder if that matters. I suppose I could buy an NVMe "drive" to see. Though I most likely cannot afford one at the moment. Alas, I did just buy $90 of accordion parts I didn't really need.
