I received my unit today, booted it up, set up the user account and was happy with how painless it was. Then the software updater in Manjaro said there were a bunch of updates available so I hit the button to update. The computer rebooted as a part of this process and now it will no longer boot. I get the power LED and nothing on the screen.
Where do I go from here? Are software updates on this thing generally a dicey proposition?
This actually happened to me last night. I was running a really old copy of Manjaro XFCE, and it appears I had a really old version of U-Boot also. I did a major update... and it was bricked.
I believe there was a major update for Manjaro v23 that requires a newer copy of U-Boot, and for whatever reason that doesn't get updated. (This one doesn't know how to update U-Boot in general). I suspect this is the case, since I now flashed my emmc with Manjaro v23, and I now have a U-Boot icon in the upper right hand side during boot.
If someone could explain how to fix without doing a re-flash (like I had to do)... that would be nice!
