Currently I have some crashes too (now at least 1 a day, sometimes 2-3 - But It was much worse for me the last weeks... oO ).
About greetd(?): I didn't change anything about login/logout like you, because I never had your initial problem - Sorry. Sad
Using encrypted Mobian (bookworm) on pmOS CE Convergence PinePhone (3GB/32GB) as Daily Driver, and Beta Edition Convergence PinePhone (3GB/32GB) with encrypted Mobian (bookworm) as Backup device.
