I can't get Pinetime notifications to work with Pinephone.

I tried Siglo but after messing around with it for a long time I finally realized that it only seems to flash firmware https://github.com/alexr4535/siglo/issues/109
I've searched a lot in the forums and it seems from this 2021 thread that i need to compile Amazfish? https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=13159

What is the 2022 way to get Pinetime Inifintime working with Pinephone?
