How to buy PinePhone WITHOUT opening a Paypal account?

in response to the original point. i recently bought pinephone postmarket o.s. edition, initially paypal tried to push account, meaning that it wasn't possible to complete without registering to the paypal. in a second try, it went through without an account. my guess is, it's related to currency selection. if charge is denominated in u.s. dollars then it can processed without account. however using paypal's conversion guarantee (or something) then account is needed. (i'm not sure though)

still, i think pine store definitely should have alternative payment methods than paypal. i mostly mean credit card payments.

i have used credit/debit card in lot of places, i seriously do not trust paypal. some sites might be suspicious but paypal could be more suspicious.

i live in area which uses euros, i don't want to be more specific this time.

No, it's based on location, not currency. There are a handful of countries within the EU where they cannot/don't offer it for a variety of reasons. It very well could be that there are laws where you live preventing PayPal from offering guest checkout.

On July 4 sales told me

PinePhone UBports edition has out of stock. Please email us in early August to issue invoice to purchase postmarketOS edition.

PostmarketOS edition appeared in July so, I contacted sales on July 16 and again on July 24. I have still not received a reply.

I would just like some information. Even if it was just someone overestimating what could be done, I would like to know that.

In the September 'Mid Month Update' it is mentioned the store will soon be able to

accept other methods of payment.

Meanwhile if you do not want to give PayPal your personal bank information, perhaps you could buy

a 'Prepaid Debit Card' with cash, then use that card and use the PayPal option to "check out with credit card 

or debit card' without creating a PayPal account.  ?

When new store up, beside Paypal, there will be Strip payment method. The crypto payment arrangement still in progress and no sure whether able to setup due to fiat bank difficulty.
