You can see L1 (maybe an inductor as the L suggest but too tiny for me) upper the connector of the adapter on the picture.

I still don't see why the Z-wave module could not be fitted directly to the 40 pin adaptor board. A few SMD resistors shouldn't be such a big problem on a board of that size.

Strange. The Pine64 shop shows no adapter board:
(Nor do they show the antenna coil)

The US version does not go on the EULER bus, it does on the pine bus, and makes the rest of bus useless, as well as the top of the case. A little disappointed in that.
Mark, you have to use the adapter board as it contains three Resistors and the inductor, so it is not just about laying the Z-wave board flat.
@
ebretteville: are you using the US or EU version of the module?
My (EU) module is still in transit, I won't get my hands on it for another week or so.

This is the previous version that using Mitsumi ZWave chip. Since Sigma Designs no longer selling the ZWave chip to Mistsumi, we force to use the Sigma Designs module.
But why bother with a removeable adapter board, why not solder the Z-wave chips directly on to the adapter?
Can the Sigma module be used at all without the adapter?
