I have meet up with Allwinner team two weeks ago in China and pass this request to them. However, I have not received their response yet.
Isn't there a way to have a better communication channel? Like that, we'll probably have HDMI CEC in 10 years. Allwinner team doesn't seem responsive, we don't have linux drivers for Mali either, I saw in one of your posts that "they're working on that", but have they given any status on that? I pretty much about they'll fullfill that request...
Btw, why have HDMI CEC been advertised if it wasn't ever implemented?
They don´t actually say in the FAQ that it is implemented, just supported
If you buy something that says it supports HDMI CEC you expect it to work, just saying.
Yeah sucks.. But I guess we´ll have to live with it for now

Yeah, the device is pretty much a paper weight right now, hopefully in 2 or 3 months it lives up to the expectactions, because right now it's use as a media device is 0.

If you intend to use it as a media device you'll be disappointed, Kodi works on android yeah, but the android builds are like alpha builds, they're not stable and they're slow.

Let´s see later what it´s capable of. It does what it does.

Do you know if devices like odroid c2 support CEC... That will give an idea if Pine will ever implement CEC.

Any news on CEC.. this is sort of frustrating.

Better forget about this device.
Pine64 team don't care. AllLoser don't care.
... and they called this the next RPi, yeah right.
Pine64 does seem to have an aversion of communication, generally only leaning in when they have positive information, and rarely just to update. My pine64 is back in the drawer for now - no gpu acceleration for linux, and a half-assed android build is kinda meh.
In other news - the pi3 now has an Android TV distro out, that i deffo plan on trying out soon!
