You can really modify this thing in many ways. Different speakers pointing up are something I've considered doing. A different battery with charging that's external to the internal circuitry is something I've considered. It really wouldn't be that difficult.
Something I have no use for is a keyboard backlight. But I've considered a simple X application that makes a ¼" strip of white along the bottom of the screen. (Or make xbattbar use twenty pixels in stead of one.)
I've even thought about replacing the keyboard with one with a tracpoint stick.
Unfortunately I'll just never get around to any of these things, but when I bought the PBP, I was hoping it would be the kind of thing that makes for easy modification, and I'm pretty sure it is.
