i3status issues reading battery status

So, finally had the time to sit down and try to whip this thing into shape since getting it, so far solid hardware and no more issues than I would have expected with a product like this. But after getting i3 set up, I cannot get the status display to read the battery charge status. At first assumed it was just the normal issue with non-standard battery names, but after manually putting the path in the i3status.conf I'm now getting an error:
no '%d' in battery path
Has anyone else had this issue/have a resolution? I've seen a lot of people playing with i3 setups on here, so hoping someone else's past struggles found the solution.

I checked with the support when PinePhones will be shipped to Germany. I wanted to share the answer I received with everyone so other people from Germany won't wonder why they have to wait longer.
Quote:As Germany customs very strict on the FCC/CE certification for smartphone, hence, we apologize as the PinePhone for Germany batch will delayed until after Lunar New Year holiday as we are still waiting the FCC/CE certificate to release.
Your understanding and patience is greatly appreciated.

I created a new thread so it is easier for people to find this info.

Installing Ubuntu Unity Desktop instead of Ubuntu Mate/Kubuntu

Hi
Quick question as this has started to get me confused.
Firstly background
I followed this excellent tutorial to install Ubuntu Mate on the Pinebook Pro:
https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=8119
Worked a treat and now it is installed and working well on my device.
So ..I am wanting instead of Mate Ubuntu to have regular Ubuntu with a Unity type feel and panel (although now it is GNOME) as you get on Ubuntu Desktop should you install it from scratch
I have tried the Munity theme on Mate and that does for now BUT
I still would like to have the same system
So I install Ubuntu desktop and packages
Get 2 choices added to the Lightdm launcher
Neither boot
I then installed Unity desktop which installed with no errors
Code: sudo apt install ubuntu-unity-deskto
Bingo ...Ubuntu Unity theme boots....looks fine and dandy but most of my apps seem to have disappeared AND right click no longer works AND I cannot fire up a terminal or indeed find terminal in my apps
I deleted both Unity and Ubuntu desktop...all is well and Ubuntu Mate is there working fine.
But ...I am doing something wrong...something simple...not sure what but it is wrong
Anyone else managed to have a nice Ubuntu desktop like attached screen shot from my desktop

with a side panel or is it just me?

Void Linux is probably possible.

I'm feeling a bit lazy today, but it occurred to me since Void updated it's images for the first time in a while today and the news happened to meet my eyeballs,. Void has a generic aarch64 rootfs that one could probably just add the bootloader and modules to to get working, I'm posting before trying since I'm pretty dang confident this would work considering the same thing has worked for me before on other devices (e.g. pi4). I will be trying it later tonight, but just getting this info out there in case someone else wanted to do it.
Update:
You can track this issue on github about it:
https://github.com/void-linux/void-mklive/issues/105

So here we are ! I got my shipping notice overnight and so have others, it's all coming rapidly to the point of actually setting up an SD card and starting the long road to a working phone.
I don't have a strong personal loyalty to a particular flavor, and as of my last overview (a few days ago) no one seemed to actually have phone / text functionality (please tell me I'm wrong !), so I am looking for thoughts on what your first choice will be, and why.
Thanks !

Right Click touchpad sensitivity

Making steady progress towards perfection with the PBP. Almost everything is set perfect. One thing I'm struggling with is the right click tap "speed". What I mean by this is that in order to register a right click on the touchpad with two finger tap, the physical tap has to be super fast. The regular single finger tap to left click works as expected, but using two fingers to right click you have to be very click and deliberate. It works, but I'd like to fine tune it. Here is the output of synclient:
Code: Parameter settings:
