I was having pretty good success connecting my bluetooth dongle to my Pinephone, but it was a little shaky. When waking the phone up, or when disconnecting and reconnecting, I would get stuttering playback. I decided to flash to a newer weekly, but unfortunately, it made the playback worse.

I tried some solutions in an old thread here, which has since been locked, but it didn't help anyway. In the last few days, I've been having problems where the connection is stuttery, but then I reboot and it's fine. Or, I disconnect and re-connect the bluetooth and it's fine. Or, strangely, turning ON wi-fi would sometimes correct the stuttering (traditionally, it was the opposite for me).


Now, it's always stuttering. I used to have multiple codecs to choose from, when I selected my bluetooth adapter in settings. I would have SBC, and then SBC-X (which worked better). Now, I don't have those options and I can't figure out how to get them back.

Here's one specific pulseaudio issue that may be a clue. If I run `pactl info` I get this result:

After updating Manjaro on my PinePhone Pro, touch input to Firefox no longer works in portrait mode. Does anyone else see this issue?

Since power using iPhone 12-16hrs per day with task such as editing Mindmaps, browsing internet, Apple pay, listening to music, and basics like mail, calendar etc. heavily drains the battery and there is no other solution to it as to always carry some of those bulky powerbanks around, I want to switch phones.

I stumbled upon Pinephone which I find in its Pro version quite appealing. Not a dev here, but pretty adaptable and a quick learner, as long as the project is motivating. And this one could definitely be.

The question is though how far away you guys are with the Pinephone Pro? What does the cautious description as „pre-beta“ mean; is it really still so far in its alpha phase or was Pine64 just too cautious in its description?

Any opinions or more info is very appreciated.

Hello, I have a Pinephone Keyboard that I am trying to open so I can replace the computer chip. Support said I would need to do this to fix it - the battery has stopped working and so has charging through the USB port.

Anyway. The means of its disassembly escape me. Using a tool I've been able to pry apart most of the bottom part of the plastic case, but the side by the hinge refuses to come apart. I can't reach the seam behind the hinge because, well, the hinge is in the way.

Can anyone who has taken a Pinephone Keyboard apart let me know how they did it? Thanks

After updating a Rock64 Ver. 2 board running Manjaro/Plasma, and running update, and then the obligatory reboot, the HDMI output was/is broken. The original system is as follows:

I've downloaded the version labeled "Manjaro-ARM-gnome-rock64-22.06.img" and it creates the same issue. When I return to the older version HDMI is fine again. Then the system notifies that updates are required and the cycle begins again
Anyone know of a solution?


As an update I've imaged the Armbian OS and booted from the SD fine. Then manually updated the system. Again it booted up fine. The only problem so far is the HDMI output flickering. It increases when system activity increases. For example; rolling the mouse over desktop icons will cause the screen to flicker. If the system sits idle the video stabilizes but if ANY activity is introduced, the flicker begins again. This makes it difficult to do anything with it. So in essence neither of these OS's are usable as indicated.

My PBP crashed during an upgrade and now the desktop/GUI won't load. I get an error message that says the current theme cannot be loaded and that the error is file:///use/share/sddm/themes/breath/Main.qml:26:1:module "org.kde.plasma.core" is not installed.

I went into a tty and did pacman -S to a lot of kde stuff (plasma-framework, then others when there was no change on reboot).

How do I either revert or replace what is bad to get my desktop back?
