4G data on default startup / boot

Hi,
I recently turned my Pinephone back on with a SIM inserted - it had been last used in 4G mode only for VoLTE test purposes with mobile data off.
This time mobile data was on - I had to disable the still incorrect aeroplane mode - this turned on bluetooth - and I could then access the mobile data setting to turn it off.
I ran updates and rebooted and the same thing happened, the phone restarted with 4G data back on whereas data had been turned off before restarting it.
How come this has changed? How do I disable data at startup? Why are the settings prior to restart / reboot not preserved?
Can't believe the aeroplane mode bug is still present too....
I could find nothing on https://salsa.debian.org/groups/Mobian-team/-/issues
or https://source.puri.sm/Librem5/phosh/-/issues
Curious as to whether or not anyone else has noticed this.
Thanks for your help / feedback.

My Pine64 Logo Re-Design & Thoughts About A New Logo

Hello Everyone! I decided I was going to do the Pine64 logo re-design contest. Here is what I came up with:
and: ![[Image: AJFCJaXklFcHjLJ9ojght1gpzrBlBgPMu-Nq65C6...-h606-s-no]](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/AJFCJaXklFcHjLJ9ojght1gpzrBlBgPMu-Nq65C62HXYbRn64jnVD8qI8vVRo3XdYOdOQt5PA5176ZEsPWMoOAZ7_YlJeDMjY8KqptF-dLUsa43E5WRQFKpvexkeeXJc2OPHlXq9Kij8hJG0F9EVT4TJuLXj=w1280-h606-s-no)
About The Font:
The only difference from the second picture and the first picture is the font. I did the softer looking font since I saw that the new Pine64 logo was a lot softer than the original logo. I did the more skinnier and serious looking font because it's cool. I think both fonts are good choices. The softer font is good because it more friendly looking, less serious. The skinnier looking font is good, because it just looks really cool. It's also looks more serious than the softer looking font, which isn't necessarily bad. It also looks like since it has color. It's not just plain old black like the old logo.
About The Light Bulb:
I chose to include a light bulb because the reason that Pine64 has even started and why it continues to happen is because of ideas and Pine64. Here's a questions: Well then why doesn't every company need a light bulb in their logo, since all companies have ideas? The answer to that is that Pine64 is different than many other companies. They take ideas from customers and the community and they consider them. Pine64 makes hardware that lets people put different ideas, I mean OS's on them. They are open to ideas. Many companies aren't open ideas. Hence why it's a good reason to put a light bulb as part of the logo. It actually means something important! Also, the light bulb doesn't look too much different than the original pine cone. The light bulb adds something to the pine cone. I hope that I made it obvious that it's a light bulb. I put some ellipses at the bottom of it to show that it's a light bulb. I also put rays/light coming from the bulb to help show that it's a light bulb. I'm not exactly sure yet, but I think that three rays is a good amount for this logo. If it isn't then I could definitely tweak it some more.
About the "powered by the community" part:
I picked "powered by the community" because it's true and because it sounds cool. Pine64's hardware needs software. Software is very important to their devices (like really important). The community's software powers Pine64's hardware. Therefore, I decided to add that. I think Pine64 should say something about the community in their logo to show gratitude towards the community, which does good amazing things. I saw that the beta Pine64 logo simply says "community", but that could be confusing to customers. For example if a new customer takes a look at the Pine64 website and they find out that the Pinephone software is "made by the community" they might think that the software is made by Pine64 because the beta logo would make it sound like Pine64 is a community of people and that that community of people/Pine64 actually writes the software. Whereas Pine64 is a community of people, but they are not the community that writes the software. I hope that makes sense. Saying that Pine64 is powered by the community would clarify that confusion. Saying "powered by the community" might also help people consider donating to help the community. Lastly, I will say it again that I think Pine64 should say something about the community in their logo, because the community is really important.

Hi
I could not find "post new thread" so I risk the wrath of Khan
I cannot find a real jh7110 data sheet.
By real I mean it lists all the registers of a processor and what they mean.
I can and have downloaded the SiFive data sheet for the U74, but it does not have the pinctrl registers etc.
Somebody has access to the full data sheet showing all the registers for this SOC.
They have ported linux based on this data.
How can lesser mortal get access to this data sheet ?
Thanks

How to enable ipv6 for hotspot

Hello All,
Running Mobian 20230416 (but I have the same issue on other builds and other OSs), when enabling the hotspot it appears my provider only uses ipv6. I would like to enable ipv6 connections from MacBook to PinePhone hotspot, but I am unsure how to do that. Has anyone here done that previously?
Background: when using the hotspot I can connect my MacBook (and other devices) to the hotspot, but there is no internet traffic. The symptoms are similar to https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?...tspot+ipv6.

Anyone else have a dead desktop 120W power supply? It would occassionally flicker when I first got it, but seemed stable enough (dumb, I know). Now its just kaput.
I dont know if anyone has had one die and got it back running again? I love the little unit was great for my Pinebook and Pi/Arduinos.
Wondering if I just got a bad unit that I should have returned? or worth fixing?
Thank!

GPIO on Ayufan 0.9.14 Build

Hello
I'm trying to use the GPIOs on the Ayufan Ubuntu Build (bionic-mate-rockpro64-0.9.14-1159-armhf), but can't seem to get it working.
Apperently the libgpiod uses /dev/Gpiochip0, which is not on this version.
Problem is, that i have to use a Desktop Image, which supports the Pine Touchdisplay, for the Rest of the Program, and i can't seem to get the other Versions (like focal-mate-rockpro64-0.10.12-1184-armhf) running.
So is there a way to use the GPIO pins on the 0.9.14 Version?

star64 bootable images, u-boot, sbi, forum?

now that the star64 can be ordered from time to time: are there any bootable linux images around somewhere? are there any u-boot and sbi trees around somewhere? to me it looks like the software support state currently is the same as for the pinetab v: you basically buy a brick as there is no software around for it at all - at least i was not able to find anything or any information anywhere. the only thing i was able to find was the icenowy star64 kernel tree with the last commit from january of this year. and while i'm at the star64: how about an own forum section for it now that it is out?
a lot of thanks in advance and best wishes - hexdump
