Creating custom PineTab modules?
#1
Is it the strategy of Pine to allow others to create modules for the Pinetab? Or will only Pine offer these?

You are welcome and encourage to create your own PineTab modules and just remember to share with community.

Great! I'm looking forward to details on how to go about this. Making it open source is indeed the goal.

Is there any more information about how to create custom expansion boards?

Are they currently PCI based?

What are the physical dimensions that an expansion board can be?

Could a USB stick theoretically fit inside that space? Or would that require a custom back cover?

I don't know more than you, but I remember a SSD was mentioned, which even in M.2 format is bigger than a typical USB stick after you remove plastic case from it.

The expansion board interface is USB 2.0 base. the normal USB stock not able to place inside PineTab due to height limitation (6mm). PineTab has a full type-A USB-2 port and you can plug in your USB stick there.

That doesn't address the physical dimensions question, which should include mounting points. Also electrical and mechanical specs for the connector. CAD models would be helpful.
