at issue is what one considers acceptable responsiveness. it will vary from user to user. if a rock64 is what one has to use as a desktop then it is fine. if one has more powerful hardware to use as a desktop the rock64 will not compare. videos of a stock board running off a sd card might [or might not] be a way for pine64 to market performance. but videos of setups that use emmc or ssd disks with software that has been modified to owner specs don't do much to convey what one could expect from a standard sdcard setup with all unmodified software. my guess is that the laptop has an o/s that has better optimized code running with integrated browser and utility software so it will appear to be more fluid and responsive than a basic rock64 setup. ymmv.
