icon keyboard

Under bookworm, the keyboard icon appears at the bottom right of the screen when you activate an application with which you can use it, but under trixie the keyboard icon doesn't appear.

What configuration needs to be activated for the keyboard icon to appear at the bottom right of the screen?

There is no configuration. This is Phosh, it follows the GNOME design philosophy, which basically says no options, ever.

As I understand it, you are supposed to hold the finger on the bottom bar for a while until the keyboard pops up. Do not ask me who thought such an undiscoverable feature was good design.

(What they did in Phosh 0.36.0 is that they added an option… allowing you to configure for how long you have to hold the finger until the keyboard pops up! No kidding.)

It worked for me too! That's great, but yeah, how on earth is anyone supposed to know this intuitively?
