How fast is rock64 if a desktop?

Searching for videos where the computer runs as a desktop computer gives not much result.
In question are videos showing how the rock64 works if running debian or armbian. Benchmark
videos tell numbers I cannot relate to.

Any videos showing how rock64 performs if it does common computer tasks? Simultaneously running a
browser, 5 tabs open, a youtube video and a file manager and a media player and libre office or
a picture editor. What are the latencies? Does rock64 start to falter?
In short can a rock64 desktop run similar to a
modest x86 notebook?

I've been using mine daily for work for ~9 months and it works quite well.

For example: I often have Firefox running with 20+ tabs, Pluma text editor, ~10 terminal windows, Pidgin, Thunderbird, Kicad, LibreOffice, and a few other background programs running, CPU load typically sits at ~0.40 with Memory usage at ~1GB.

I don't watch videos or listen to audio on here, but I've tried watching a youtube video and it played fine at 720p, no skipping or anything. The problem is the youtube site + firefox = heavy JavaScript, so it slows Firefox to a crawl.

I have NoScript enabled by default to block all JS except for specific websites. This significantly improves the surfing experience.

Finally, I'm also using my rock64 to compile things (C, Go, Rust programs), to work with my smartphone's LineageOS, (android sdk), program my Arduino and other microcontrollers, and I sometimes edit images in Inkscape. This is all with the desktop (debian stretch + xfce4) and other things running, and so far 0 issues.

Basically, yes, this is more than suitable for desktop use.

at issue is what one considers acceptable responsiveness. it will vary from user to user. if a rock64 is what one has to use as a desktop then it is fine. if one has more powerful hardware to use as a desktop the rock64 will not compare. videos of a stock board running off a sd card might [or might not] be a way for pine64 to market performance. but videos of setups that use emmc or ssd disks with software that has been modified to owner specs don't do much to convey what one could expect from a standard sdcard setup with all unmodified software. my guess is that the laptop has an o/s that has better optimized code running with integrated browser and utility software so it will appear to be more fluid and responsive than a basic rock64 setup. ymmv.

The youtube site has heavy JavaScript and is somewhat slow to load.

I'm using a Logitech C615 HD 1080p webcam connected to my ROCK64 over USB. Works fine.

I opened the url in firefox on a x86 debian 9 computer. I got no video. meet.jit.si on the computer
has worked before. I do not know if it still does.

If you install debian on a x86 computer you get the option to get
full hdd encryption. On ubuntu on a x86 computer you can
get home folder encryption too.

I have installed desktop systems on several different arm mainboards. I have
not noticed such encryption options on any of the computers.

Not difficult, and yes to the other questions. I'm using disk encryption now as well. There's no reason for it not to work on rock64.

Do you have full graphics using our GPU hardware when using your Rock64?
I have only been able to get my GPU working using the LibreELEC with Kodi nightly image.
When i image my MicroSD card with a Linux image the desktop is choppy and video barely plays.
Any suggestions?

I know it is an old post, but since you seem a software developer I wanted to ask if you used docker and how is your experience with that.
