Slarm64 on Pinebook [Slackware Arm - 64 bit]
#25
Oops, I apologize for the downtime.  Dodgy   Life-away-from-keyboard got quite hectic around mid-December, and then when I had to do a server switcharoo after the new year, links broke.  I am not sure how the *.lrz archives got corrupted, but they definitely did.  My bad.

On the bright side, I did some symlink magic on the new server and got the old link pointing to the new directory.  These should work for the rest of the year at least if not much longer, but renting commercial server space is shady business, so we might run into a few hiccups along the way.

I uploaded some old archives and some fresh ones I just built with a working kernel.  Both of these links point to the same directory, just for the sake of domain redundancy:

This one works again, so the links on the Pine64 wiki should not need fixing:

and this one works too, but I am just riding on a subdomain from a kind web client:

The 5.5.8 kernel base image is a bit old, but it is still one of the most stable kernels I ever used with the Pinebook.  I keep this one around as a reference of how good it can be.  You should still be able to use this and bootstrap it up to an updated system with the 5.5.8 kernel.  Compressed with xz, this should not give you any issues besides being slightly vintage.

The 5.6.19 kernel images are the "latest" images that I could get to work without having the LCD panel issue listed here:

https://forum.armbian.com/topic/15177-bu...-pinebook/

I just built and tested them.  They have all the latest upstream updates, including the bluetooth kernel bug fix, and the latest Xfce out of the box.

I also have some Rock64 images using the 5.6.19 kernel that I use on two boards on a daily basis.  Anything newer and I have external monitor issues (no signal).

The later images are built without using a rootfs and are compressed with zstd.  Hopefully you can decompress those, they work for me no problem.  I use 99% Slackware though, and zstd is just part of the default install, on -current at least.

Commence downloading.  Again, my apologies for the server screw-ups.   Sad

p.s.  It is my understanding that images for the 1080p Pinebook can work on the earlier model, but not vice-versa all the time.  You might want to try these out, even if you have the non-1080 model.
