Debian MATE update v1.6
#1
For those running the default Debian image, Mrfixit has just released the v1.6 update, bringing an updated kernel (4.4.205) and graphical fixes for the included Firefox version.

Use the updater applet in the notification tray to update. Smile

I lost the applet button when moving panels around. Does it do the same as sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade?
If not, what's the command to run the applet?
Thanks in advance

Looks like the command is:

mate-terminal -x sudo /usr/bin/mrfixit_update.sh

From a open terminal just "sudo /usr/bin/mrfixit_update.sh"

Is anyone else finding that the script hangs on 'Adding bluetooth packages to fix issues...'?
It won't go beyond that for me.

I waited for a long time then pressed the Enter key to see if it was possibly waiting for input?
Shortly after that the script completed normally.
Coincidence - you tell me?

Yeah, looks like a lack of patience on my part may have been the issue.
Of course often nothing solves a problem quite as efficiently as posting on a forum, then looking like an idiot...

Does the v1.6 update also switch to the Debian Buster repositories?

My Logs. It's a long list. Anything I can do about it?
