Noob question as still to get my Rock64 from the upcoming batch.

eMMC with it having a higher bootorder when installed is it just a matter of copying the same image to eMMC and uboot will load or do we need uboot changes in that particular img (uboot.img)

No changes are needed... the boot script automatically orders things so that the eMMC and microSD have consistent numbering regardless of if you boot from microSD or eMMC. All that is needed is to transfer an image to the eMMC... same image works for microSD and eMMC Wink

Following the links given above, I downloaded the Community Build Debian Stretch Minimal Linux Kernel ver 4.4 [microSD Boot] (stretch-minimal-rock64-0.4.16-83-arm64.img),  flashed it to a microSD card successfully with Etcher. After that, I checked the newly flashed card n my other Linux machine and found that there are seven (7) partitions:

Code:
Disk /dev/mmcblk1: 1.9 GiB, 1990197248 bytes, 3887104 sectors
Units: sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disklabel type: gpt
Disk identifier: E6771043-8BA0-4538-B5D9-8A4D0A5880C5

Device          Start     End Sectors  Size Type
/dev/mmcblk1p1     64    8063    8000  3.9M Linux filesystem
/dev/mmcblk1p2   8064    8191     128   64K Linux filesystem
/dev/mmcblk1p3   8192   16383    8192    4M Linux filesystem
/dev/mmcblk1p4  16384   24575    8192    4M Linux filesystem
/dev/mmcblk1p5  24576   32767    8192    4M Linux filesystem
/dev/mmcblk1p6  32768  262143  229376  112M Microsoft basic data
/dev/mmcblk1p7 262144 2359295 2097152    1G Linux filesystem

Partition 6 seems to be the boot and 7 the root system, but does anyone know what partition 1 to 5 are for? When I tried to mount any of the p1 to p5, it gives me errors:

[[email protected] ~]# mount /dev/mmcblk1p1 /mnt

mount: /mnt: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/mmcblk1p1, missing codepage or helper program, or other error.[/quote]
