Q4OS for PINEBOOK
#81
Aren't the driver's available in apt repo? I would like to have better video performance, I got OpenJK built yesterday, but it runs slow; quake 2 also runs a little sluggish too.
Working as a Film Electric and I have been using Linux since around 2002.
Like to play with Python and Jupyter Lab/Notebooks when not going to the park with my baby girl.

Reboot and check the scaling.

Q4OS 2.7 Scorpion installation images has been updated, ".r5" revision. SD card images for both Pinebook models have been updated subsequently as well. The new ".r5" media revision includes packages upgrades, security fixes and a few improvements. The most significant one is Desktop profiler tuning. Desktop profiler is a native Q4OS tool for easy software installation.

I tried the https://sourceforge.net/projects/q4os/fi...p/download Q4OS on an microSD card:

I very much like the look and feel, and (when its eventually booted) it feels faster then the KDE Neon on eMMC......

Unlike KDE Neon (which I think is good too, although a bit sluggish and heavy) Q4OS put a constant smile on my face :-) when fiddling with it.

Maybe I will install it on eMMC when I will be able to connect to my bluetooth speakers (which didn't work last night).

Will an install on eMMC make it boot faster than on microSD??

Not only does it boot faster but it runs faster too since so many things cache to disk.

I would like to get the touchpad to "tap-to-click".
It worked in the .r2 version,  even after upgrades, but not in a new
emmc install.
I have tried gsettings and the adding in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-pine64-touchpad.conf
using either "Tapping" or "tap-to-click",  but can't seem to make respond.
