A version that violates local transmission rules is completely NO use to me !!

I have received about 10 "backerkit survey" requests.  But none have the AU option listed.

Hi there - the item is certainly on my BackerKit, have you scrolled down far enough? This is the page - https://pine64.backerkit.com/backer/addons - and here is what it looks like...

Could you please confirm how we are supposed to add this to our order without adding to our costs? I've backed the IoT package which means the z-wave board is included but my survey only has US and EU z-wave board options. I can see the AU option in the backerkit addon page however this suggests that I would need to pay an additional US$30 to get AU supported z-wave.
If your address is Australia and New Zealand, we will ship out AU version.
Hi tllim,

I sent several emails to your team via KS' private messages, KS' comment section, and shipping@PINE64.com during the past months (the first one was sent on 18-Feb), but no one got responded.   Those I sent via KS private messages are extracted below for your reference.

    @Creator
As I live in Hong Kong, if I want to add a Z-wave module, should I choose the EU version or the US version? I did a little bit research on Internet. It seems like HK/AUS/NZ are using different MHz (919/921) than the EU(868) and the US (908), please advise.
Also, I noticed from Backerkit that the Media Kit package will come with Acrylic/Stainless Steel Open Enclosure but the Enclosure for IOT Package was not specified. Please also confirm if the IOT package will come with the Acrylic/Stainless Steel Open Enclosure or other Enclosure type. Thanks!

I live in Hong Kong. If I go for a Z-wave module, which version should I choose (US/UK)? Also, which version will come with the IOT package?
It seems like AUS/NZ/HK are using different MHz (919/921) than the EU(868) and the US(908).
Also, I noticed from Backerkit that Media Kit will come with Acrylic/Stainless Steel Open Enclosure but no similar information for IOT Package. Please advise.
Finally, I wanted to know the dimensions of Lipo battery so I can buy one here to fit it in the Playbox enclosure.
    Thanks!

    Hi Creator,
My last PMs sent you in Feb still don't get answered. Anyway, I have completed my survey and added an IOT package in my pledge.
Just to remind that here in HK we need a Z-wave card with different Mhz than the EU and US types.
It's very much appreciated if you can confirm the matter by replying the message.
    Thanks!

My questions:

1) May I confirm if HK is using the same version of Z Wave as AU/NZ?

2) If yes, will you ship out AU version to our HK backers?  I have an IOT package in my pledge.

3) If you do not intend to ship appropriate version of Z wave module to HK, please help to remove the IOT kit add-on from my pledge and arrange to refund me.  My pledge then remains the following: (i) A64+ 2GB board, (ii) Wifi/BT module, (iii) Airmouse with keyboard, (iv) Acrylic Open Enclosure.

Thanks!

Replied from Pine64 on 8-Jul saying that shipment of Z-wave module was delayed due to manufacturing issues.

I also posted this in the other Z-Wave discussion thread I could find, but I (finally) received the AU version of the Z-Wave module and ABS case and it looks like they've sorted out the issue with it not fitting in the ABS case - http://imgur.com/gallery/lTZ64

Hopefully have OpenHAB up and running soon!

How do you check your Z-wave module is the AU version?

Doesn't appear to be any AU specific markings, it's just got "ZW5304_V11 2016.8.10".

I guess I'm just hoping it's the AU one because that's what I ordered.

Yes, this is the new AU Zwave model and using Sigma Designs ZM5304AH module. The reason of taking so long for AU model release is due to we cannot find of-the-shelf ZWave module like US and EU, and we need to ask a company that specialize on produce ZWave module for Raspberry Pi to build for us.

BTW, all Pine64 ZWave module (US, EU, and AU) can works on top of Raspberry Pi, consider this as bonus Big Grin  In general, RpI's ZWave module kind of expensive.
