Android 6.0.1 "Marshmallow" support on Pine A64
#1
Dear Pine Development Team,

Currently, the Pine A64 supports Android 5.1.1. Are there any plans to support the latest Android 6.0.1 "Marshmallow" release and if so, when can we expect the timeframe to be?

Thank you.

The first release is 64-bit Lollipop 5.1.1, we plan to support Android Marshmallow 6.0.

Android 6.0 should be around Q2 time frame. However, Google IO is on May, which means Android 7.0 will be release soon :-(

Android N will probably be released at around ~October/November, the same as the most other recent "letter" android releases (5.0,4.4,4.0) etc. The only letter version that was released in a different date was 4.1 (although 4.2 was released at nov). Most companies haven't updated to 6/6.0.1 yet, or have only updated recently: http://www.tampabayreview.com/news/ard-a...ices/2385/
