Replace PPP sim card/sd card slot hardware
#1
Looking for replacement for SA-2202-112 25-pin Micro-SIM and TF slot as referenced from PPP parts list.

PPP will not read my consumer cellular sim card and it is difficult to insert or remove sd cards.  It used to read sim card fine and I could make phone calls, sms, and mms using manjaro-phosh.  Now nothing.   No software fixes work so it must be the hardware.  Perhaps too many inserts/removals.

I can't find replacement on PPP spare parts site.  Search for part doesn't pick up anything on internet.  Amazon has some slot hardware but nothing looks simillar.

Anyone found a hardware source?  Anyone changed one out successfully?

thanks,     tom kosvic

Additionally,  the slot hardware is not listed in PPP spare parts website.  I left a message at pinephone info asking them for a purchase recommendation.

If you ever get anywhere with this, a video would be great as this has been a long standing problem for many people. Also sourcing information. Kudos to you for taking this on.

Cheers!

I posted an email to pinephone support asking for a source to purchase a new sim/sd card holder slot hardware.  I received an email back saying that they had forwarded my question to parts supply dept.  That was 3 days ago and no answer yet.  I sent them another email asking them to wake those guys up.  No answer

Maybe this will work as a replacement?

It's no thte SA-2202-112 25-pin Micro-SIM and TF slot, but it looks like it might be a substitute part.

Can't find a place to buy referenced molex sim/sd card holder in numbers less than 1000.  Amazon looks to sell small numbers but is out ot them with no info as to when they'll be back in stock
