SD Card insertion depth

I want to verify how far an sd card should be inserted into the pine phone pro...

Please comment if the SD card depicted is inserted too deeply.

That looks dead right to me.
1) Exactly the same as an Evo+ in mine
2) I can also just see the ends of half the SIM springs on the left of the SDcard in the pic (if that makes sense)
  • ROCKPro64 v2.1 2GB, 16Gb eMMC for rootfs, SX8200Pro 512GB NVMe for /home, HDMI video & sound, Bluetooth keyboard & mouse. Arch (6.2 kernel, Openbox desktop) for general purpose daily PC.
  • PinePhone Pro Explorer Edition, daily driver, rk2aw & U-boot on SPI, Arch/SXMO & Arch/phosh on eMMC
  • PinePhone BraveHeart now v1.2b 3/32Gb, Tow-boot with Arch/SXMO on eMMC

Looks ok to me.  I do have a problem getting sd card into slot.  Doesn't fit cleanly like on pinephone.  Requires some jiggling around and some significant force.  I wonder if something is out of alignment and perhaps could be adjusted a little.

Anyone else have same problem?

I always just push it in until it bottoms in the socket... (and straight)

I opened one of my phones and compared it to your photo, yep, that is how it looks.

I have never had a problem with the socket, ----> I have swapped sd cards hundreds of times since the old Brave Heart days.

Thank you everyone for the responses.  I was concerned that I was either pushing the card in too far or had damaged the slot somehow.  As it turns out, I took the suggestion in another thread to try using Etcher to write the image to the sd card which indicated a verification problem after the write was done.

I switched to another SD card which worked beautifully... I was able to boot successfully into Mobian after holding the power button down for 5 seconds.
