Phone not detecting telco access points
#1
Hi everyone,

I just got my phone in the mail and got PostmarketOS up and running. The phone is not detecting any telco access points. My Android phone does. Any ideas?

Cheers,

Yeah, I swapped it over to test it. Do I need a new one?

In general you shouldn't need a new one, but it would help if you told people which telco you're using, and perhaps where, as there may be some specific issues. As an example one person found that their telco's towers in their area were using an incompatible radio frequency, so had to find a different telco using a compatible frequency in their area.

I'm on the Telstra network (the only network available in my area), which has a comprehensive set of frequencies. It's simply not picking up any signal.

I got a new Telstra Simm and it's working. Go figure.
